The Sibgrapi 2009 will take place at the campus of PUC-Rio, in the neighborhood of Gávea.

How to get to the PUC campus

The campus has two main entrances: Rua Marquês de São Vicente, 225  and  Rua Pe. Leonel Franca near the Planetárium. You can get there easily by taxi (there is a taxi station at the second door) or by bus or metro bus. The list of busses leading to the campus is available at the PUC-Rio web site. Most of those busses link to the southern neighborhoods (Gávea Leblon, Ipanema, Jardim Botânico and Copacabana), and you can check their trajectories at the Rio Ônibus web site.

Where to stay

There are many hotels in Rio, and we would recommend to stay at Ipanema, Leblon, Jardim Botanico or Arpoador, and eventually Copacabana. You will find many options for hotels on hte Internet or with travel agencies (see below). For hotels in Leblon and Ipanema, a good list is available at ipanema.com.

If you are coming with friends or family, it may be interesting to rent a flat. There are good sites that make it easy, as aluguetemporada.com.br and rentaflat.com.br.

Finally, there are some youth hostels in Rio, and IMPA is maintaining a small list of recommended ones.
