scheduled as oral presentations and published in the Proceedings as two-column, 8-page papers, in English. Submission will be electronic. Proceedings will be published by IEEE CS Press and selected papers will be published in specialized journals.

about classical or timely topics, from elementary to advanced, consisting of three to six hours of lectures (in Portuguese or English). The selected tutorials will be published by IEEE CS Press (in English).

Posters
ongoing research, sketches and extended abstracts. Accepted contributions will be published as two-column, 2-page papers, in English.

Workshop of Theses and Dissertations
PhD and MSc students may submit their ongoing work in English or Portuguese, to be evaluated for presentation. We expect this to be a unique opportunity for graduate students to receive important feedback on their work from the scientific community.

undergraduate students are encouraged to submit the results of their scientific works in English or Portuguese, to be evaluated for presentation.

special video and demo session of computer graphics or digital video processing techniques.

Workshop on Applications to the Petroleum Industry
presents and discusses how computer graphics and user interface software can be used to develop technical and scientific applications for the petroleum industry.

Workshop on Applications of Graphics to the Cinema & TV Industry
panel with two or three panelists who debate a topic and an unbiased moderator who presents the panelists with questions.

Digital Video Journey
round tables composed of researchers invited from France and Brazil on event detection in digital video, digital video indexing, object detection and recognition in digital video, and digital video summarization.
